Leader vs. Non-Leader — The Difference

Over the years, specifically the last 20, I have seen a big distinction between Leaders and Non-Leaders. It’s important to point out.

How to Lead

Humans have growth potential. If we are learning/growing, it helps to have leaders who empower others (the young, the new, the learning) after them with their experiences.

While everyone looks in and betters themselves, I believe leaders in outside society are important too. We have all seen or maybe worked with or for a leader and have also maybe worked with with or for a non-leader.

There is a difference. If the goal is to grow positively and to be surrounded by like minds, I believe showing the distinction will help everyone grow in a more healthy, positive, empowering, and mutually beneficial way. I hope this is helpful.

What’s the difference?

Leader grows your mind - Non-Leader looks to control the mind.

Leader has value to offer others - Non-Leader hasn’t yet found a value to offer others.

Leader is courageous (through fear)- Non-Leader is scared.

Leader empowers you- Non-Leader holds you down.

Leader creates a positive vision for all- Non-Leader creates a “them vs us”.

Leader is helpful- Non-Leader is toxic.

Leader gives- Non-Leader takes.

Leader teaches- Non-Leader bullies.

Leader is open and inviting -Non-Leader is closed.

Leader appreciates others- Non-Leader is threatened by others.

Leader lifts up others- Non-Leader squashes others.

Leader grows- Non-Leader is set.

Leader moves everyone else forward- Non-Leader holds everyone else back.

Note: I believe a Non-Leader can unlearn & learn & be a Leader.

Examples of Leaders:

The teacher who empowers her students.

The helper who helps others out of tough situations.

The entrepreneur who creates vision, positivity, communication, and an inclusive team.

The creator who changes things for the better for others.

The boss who appreciates you as you do them.

The friend in your life lifting you up.

That leader in society bringing all humans from all backgrounds together, towards positive growth.

You.

While we lead ourselves or aim to become leaders, I say we balance it & also surround ourselves w/ leaders on the outside as we move towards better- what do you say? To growth, happiness, self-love, fulfillment, congruence w/ selves, & positive service & contribution to others.
